At LIV Sotheby’s International Realty, Ventura County’s leading luxury real estate firm, we appreciate the benefits of living in the beautiful State of California, and we are passionate about inspiring those around us to LIV the life they love. We also recognize, however, that there are those of less privilege in our own backyard, and as such giving back to the communities we serve is integral to our company’s culture.

In 2022, LIV Sotheby’s International Realty was proud to support Food Share of Ventura County, helping to end hunger in our community.

Because no one should go hungry.

An estimated 1 in 6 people in Ventura County experiences food insecurity, meaning that they are without reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food.

Since 1978, Food Share has been feeding the hungry in Ventura County. It all began when eight friends banded together to provide food to those in need under a bridge in Ventura, CA. The early philanthropic movement started in a family garage, quickly outgrew a donated fire station in Saticoy and now operates in Oxnard, CA with three warehouses with a combined 46,000 square feet.

Today, staff and volunteers distribute nearly 19 million pounds of food, providing 16 million meals annually to people in Ventura County through its hunger programs and 190 pantry and program partners. As Ventura County’s regional food bank, Food Share provides food for 140,000 hungry friends and neighbors monthly. Food Share is a member of Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger-relief network of food banks, as well as the California Association of Food Banks.

A 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Food Share is a member of the Feeding America network, the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization.
